Featured Teacher of the
Week

Red Rock Central retired many teachers after the 2011-2012 school year which opened up the opportunity to hire some new ones.
One of the newest faculty members is Miss Kylie Dauer
who is now teaching in the math department and will be the varsity girl’s head
basketball coach.
Miss Dauer grew up in Springfield, MN, and graduated
from Springfield High School in 2007. After graduating she went on to Minnesota
State University, Mankato and earned her Secondary Math Education degree in
December of 2010. Now at Red Rock Central she is teaching eighth grade
math, geometry, basic geometry, and basic statistics. Her hope is that the
students she is instructing will learn to enjoy math as much as she does.
What excited Miss Dauer about joining
the Red Rock Central staff is that she knew it would be a great opportunity to
grow professionally as a teacher. She feels privileged to be part of a very
“structured and successful” math department and hopes that she can continue to
contribute to that. One other activity Miss Dauer is
looking forward to is being part of the basketball
program. The girls are all really excited about having her as a coach.
When asked what her impressions of Red Rock Central are, she
responded, “I have enjoyed being at RRC so far. It has been an easy transition
for me, thanks to the staff and students. The students have shown great work
ethic and I look forward to what the rest of the year has to offer.”
