· Homemade furnace to melt chunks of iron

· Participants form their own molds

· Classes on mold building

Cost of class: Charge of materials used-$10.00-basic mold, $1.00/lb for large molds

ACTIVITIES

Medallion Hunt 8:00 Clues every 2 hours, Blacksmith shop back

5 K Road Race - fun run in city limits saturday runners, walkers, wheelchairs

Registration 8:00 city park $3.00 fee, 9:00 race, refreshments provided

8:00 - 12:00 city wide rummages sales saturday

Music 11:00-1:00-City Park

Lions' Chili & Brats 11:00 - 1:00 city park

Reading Club - Hardee's Roast Beef 4:30 - 6:30 Blacksmith Shop

“Ageless Iron” Display of machinery, tractors, cars

Iron Pour T-Shirts - city park

Craft demonstration & sales – City park 10:00 - 4:00

Note: The iron pours are impressive spectator events with trained participants in full

protective gear carrying the 200-pound pouring ladle in pairs to each mold.
